BANGKOK, Oct. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Hundreds of demonstrators from Thailand on Sunday morning took to the streets in Bangkok, protesting against the visit by US President George W. Bush.
Raising banners which read "Stop Bush Addicted to War," "US Troops out of Iraq," "No Bush No War" and "Wage Peace Now," the demonstrators also protest the proposed free trade agreement between Thailand and the United States.
Bush arrived in Bangkok on Saturday night to pay a state visit to Thailand before attending the Economic Leaders Meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on Oct. 20-21.
Among the demonstrators were students, farmers, Muslims and members of non-governmental organizations from various groups.
