You won't have Dubya to kick around any longer. (Score:1)

During the 2000 Presidential campaign I can remember how the major media ran around frantically researching whether Gore, in a 1998 disaster, had talked to the Director of FEMA or the Director’s Assistant. I can remember how Dubya’s handlers floated all of those stories about Gore’s inability to speak clearly without flourishes of the facts. Dubya, during a Presidential TV debate, was asked about Gore’s alleged embellishments of the facts, and he initially took the high road and said something to the effect that, “I have been known to mangle a few syllables”, and then when prodded further, “Yes he does have problems with the truth, and that is a big problem. How can people know when he is lying or not”?
The mainstream media isn’t running around now trying to uncover whether Dubya’s lies have ruined our standing in the world. In the September 29th 2003 Washington Post front page there were this headline, “Bush Aides to Cooperate with Justice Dept. Inquiry--Democrats call for independent probe into administration leak that exposed identity of CIA operative”. This sounds as if though our media is diligently uncovering facts regarding Dubya’s regime, but is not that encouraging. Why not? Simply because Democrats in Congress are now back in session, and over their summer break the US major media has done nothing to advance the information regarding this administration’s treachery. This headline vaguely represent the valiant efforts of our Democratic Senators fighting huge odds against Dubya’s stranglehold of the US Government and the US judicial systems, as well as the Murdoch et al GOP controlled media. Even the headline itself is cast in a positive vein. The truth is the red staters won’t read the commie-pinko Washington Post, but if they came across headlines such as this they would think that their boys are cooperating with probes regarding their alleged problems. Isn’t that sweet? The hidden part of such headlines, the truthful and therefore negative slant toward Dubya, would never enter the dim consciousness of our disinterested red staters
Do you know how the English paper, the Guardian, dealt with this? In the article of September 30th, 2003 their headline, “Iraqi defectors' weapons claims were 'false'”, tells the story. They don’t play around with a little segment of the whole, the “16 words “, and the subsequent illegal act of retribution by the always vengeful Dubya. This would be wasting time—so they project that it all is false.
An internet site, DemocracyNow, on September 16th, 2003 posted this content entitled, “Ex-Ambassador Joseph Wilson at Democracy Now, about who was behind the smear campaign against him and his wife”, which is definitely more troubling than Gore talking to the Director of FEMA or the Director’s Assistant. In this part of the interview of Joseph Wilson by Amy Goodman regarding did Cheney know that the Iraq-Niger uranium connection was implausible, the courageous Mr. Wilson says, “While we've never met he certainly knows who I am and should know unless his memory is flawed and faulty. The important thing, though, is to understand that it was not just the report that I brought back that was part of the U.S. government's information base.
There was also a report from our sitting ambassador on the ground… She had gone and consulted with the current government officials. My own report dealt with previous government officials who had been in office at the time that this reported sale of uranium had been agreed to. There was also a report submitted to the U.S. government by a four star marine corps general who traveled to there… before I had traveled there. So in our government files there were at a minimum three reports that had been generated shortly after the Vice President had asked the question, what do we know about this. The interesting thing it seems to me is how is it that these bogus documents that were not credible enough to be included in an Italian tabloid publication, how did the essence of these documents end up in the State of the Union address? Now the Vice Presid
