Daniel Pipes- No Master of Peaceposted by ewing2001 on Sunday August 24, @05:34AM![]() from the GFP dept. Almost ignored by the "established left wing" was the current nomination of Daniel Pipes for the United States Institute of Peace. Pipes won. Bush appointed him silently on Friday.
Lefties think in Oil Pipes, but ignored DanielBy Ewing2001, August 24th
Pipes is one of the master brainwasher of this country, when it comes to subtle criticism of Islam. In 1993, he was the very first, who wrote about the "green peril" -only a few weeks before the first attack on the Twin Towers.
In May 2000, he co-wrote "Ending Syria's Occupation of Lebanon: The US Role", endorsed with signatories by Douglas Feith, Frank Gaffney, Jeane Kirkpatrick, Richard Perle or David Wurmser.
Few think, Pipes is on the payroll of the CIA since years.
In 2002, Pipes founded Campuswatch.org.
Pipes new target since then: Critical U.S.Professors.
From his "hitlist", described with his own words in his weekly NY POST colums:
"...Noam Chomsky, professor of linguistics at MIT and far-left luminary, insists that President Bush and his advisers oppose Saddam not because of his many crimes or his reach for nuclear weapons. "We all know . . . what they're aiming at," Chomsky said in a recent interview, "Iraq has the second-largest oil reserves in the world."
Jim Rego, visiting assistant professor of chemistry at Swarthmore College, stated at a panel discussion that, even after Sept. 11, the U.S. government is merely manufacturing another enemy "to have an identity." Rego explained his thinking with an elegance characteristic of the Left: "I think we've run out of people's butts to kick and that we essentially want to keep the butt-kicking going."
Eric Foner, professor of 19-century American history at Columbia University, states that a preemptive war against Iraq "takes us back to the notion of the rule of the jungle" and deems this "exactly the same argument" the Japanese used to justify the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Glenda Gilmore, an assistant professor of history of the American South at Yale University, tells her school paper that confrontation with Iraq represents a plot to expand American power. It is nothing less, she asserts, than "the first step in Bush's plan to transform our country into an aggressor nation that cannot tolerate opposition." She concludes by quoting the wisdom of a cartoon character: "We have met the enemy, and it is us."
Mazin Qumsiyeh, associate professor of genetics at Yale University and co-founder of "Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition," wrote in a Connecticut newspaper that "if Saddam Hussein is a dictator, [Washington] created him." He concludes that a U.S. war against Iraq would be just a diversion created by "Israeli apologists and [U.S.] government officials" who share a "tribal affiliation" (in other words, are Jewish). The only purpose of war would be to provide cover for Israel to commit what he calls "even higher atrocities" against Palestinians by removing them from the West Bank and Gaza.
Tom Nagy, associate professor of business at George Washington University, proudly informed his university newspaper about providing aid to the Saddam regime against the United States during a recent (illegal) trip to Iraq. Specifically, he offered "estimates of the number of civilians needed to act as a human shield to protect infrastructure and buildings for Iraqi citizens..."
While Nagy, Chomsky and Co. became strangely more silent, Pipes is allowed to continue with his GoebbelsSpeak light and NeoCon brainwash.
Though Pipes and his Middle East Forum is also well-known as an opponent of the Oslo peace process, noone stopped him to become another fake-peace maker.
Noone realised, how strongly he is connected with the blueprinters and supporters of PNAC and RAND: Meyrav Wurmser (IASPS, MEMRI), Laurent Murawiec and William Kristol.
It doesn't help, if only some small activist projects like the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee speak up, who got marginalised anyway.
This is once again the fault of the "established left wing" and liberals, who are still unable to see the bigger picture and always ignore the b-team and their foot soldiers.
As long, as they concentrate on Bush and Rumsfeld, the real players like Douglas Feith or Dr. J.R. Beyster (SAIC) will always win.
The nomination of Pipes is another win for the PNAC-gang.
Their opposition is still not doing their homework and already hijacked by "election reality tv": Schwarzenegger, Dean, Kucinich + Co.
Bush won. The Iraq war continues.
The democrats decided to continue to cover up the truth about Sep11th and Iraq. More worse, they already use dead U.S. Soldiers for their election strategy.
And even their more open-minded supporters put the blindfolds on.
There will be no critical Sep11th anniversary.
There will be a Bush and Gephardt, hand in hand, smiling about their war against terrorism.
And the liberals will fight back: "It's the economy, stupid".
But the biggest red herring is still to come: It IS the election 2004.
The bitter irony of the story:
The liberals still think, they can win 2004.
The liberals still don't want to hear the full truth about September 11th.
The liberals still ignore the possibility of martial law and a postponed or manipulated election.
The majority of them still confuse a firewall with disobedience in Seattle and Daniel Pearl with Richard Perle.
That's why Sobig-F is so big and Pipes the real oil-master.
