A man is only as good as his word, so Dubya is worthless.
Dubya has had many different audiences to throw his lies at, and sometimes his messages were dissimilar for each set of viewers. Do you think Dubya is familiar with Shakespeare’s, “All the world is a stage and each of us merely actors”? I don’t. I think he likes dressing up and lying.
Immediately prior to the war, March 10, 2003, only four of the U.N. Security Council’s 15 members, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and Bulgaria voiced strong support for a new resolution backing potential military action against Iraq. Dubya called the Azores Summit as he was convinced that his GOP acclaimed “moral clarity’ would get a few more countries to help the boy “leader of the free world, who doesn’t do nuances”. As a result of his wonderful oratorical skills the number dropped by 1, as Bulgaria bailed out on him. After his howling success at the Summit the plan was not to ask for a second 1441 resolution, because the US knew it wouldn’t pass! The US knew the world wasn’t as disinterested as the US red state voters. Dubya went forward with his war, against the recommendations of every credible intelligence agency. Dubya’s team distorted all believable information to pawn off for reasons for the war.
Lies directed to the UN include, but certainly aren’t limited to:
The UN didn’t trust Dubya because he dealt from the bottom of the deck when he started this incursion into hypocrisy, otherwise named “Operation Iraqi Freedom”. Bush knew that the UN saw through him from the start, so he didn’t try to sway them, as hard as he did with the US populace. He didn’t try for the second Iraq UN resolution as he knew it was futile. Among the lies he, and his minions, directed at the UN were:
1 The “16 words”,
2 The phony allegation about the high-strength aluminum tubes to use in processing uranium,
3 Bush presenting the discovery of two trailers in Iraq as proof that Iraq possessed banned weapons,
4 Powell embellishing upon an intercepted conversation about weapons inspections between Iraqi officials to make it sound more incriminating,
5 Powell relying on the disclosure of Iraq’s pre-war unconventional weapons programs by defector Hussein Kamel, without noting that Kamel had also said that all those weapons had been destroyed,
6 43’s citing of the United Nations International Atomic Energy report alleging that Iraq was “six months away” from developing a nuclear weapon,
7 The dunce’s lie about Iraq maintaining a growing fleet of unmanned aircraft that could be used, in Bush’s words, “for missions targeting the United States”,
8 The guy who has cultivated a reputation of being a straight shooter, but in reality is anything but, saying that he invaded Iraq only after Saddam Hussein “wouldn’t allow UN inspectors into the country”.
9 Immediately before the war, Hans Blix delivered a mildly negative report on Iraq’s cooperation with international inspectors, and his report said he saw nothing to prompt a war. Powell fabricated a claim, supposedly from Blix’s report, that inspectors found Iraqi officials hiding and moving illicit materials within and outside of Iraq to prevent their discovery; which Blix was forced to discredit.
The UN’s current position regarding the UN resolution that Dubya is proposing:
Remember how Dubya’s GOP stooges were accusing the hated Democrats of being the worst thing imaginable, being French, and the clever jokes about “Freedom fries”? Hubris, according to everyone with a lick of sense, something Dubya will never be accused of possessing, always makes a mental midget striving for something beyond his grasp, slip on a heavenly banana peel into hell!
Prior to talking directly with Dubya; in other words before he gets the plain brown envelope filled with money, Chirac said Paris would vote for the resolution only if it included a deadline for the transfer of sover
