Operation Homeland Resistance-At Least 50 Arrested at 26 Federal Plaza
"...Firing off the opening volley in three days of planned civil disobedience, at least 50 activists with "Operation Homeland Resistance" were arrested outside the NYC Federal Building at 26 Federal Plaza today. According to a press release, "NYC organizations and New Yorkers will launch a three-day campaign of civil disobedience and creative actions Monday, May 5th. The civil disobedience will begin at 11:00am at 26 Federal Plaza, Manhattan. The campaign called Operation Homeland Resistance, will highlight issues around the continued occupation of Iraq and continued domestic war on people of color, immigrants and the poor within the U.S." More at:
