WASHINGTON
(Reuters) - The United States announced on Thursday it had released
three juvenile "enemy combatants" held at the U.S. military prison camp
in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and flown them to their home country.
The three, ranging from 13 to 15 years old, were the only juveniles
among 660 suspected Taliban and al Qaeda guerrillas being held without
charge at the U.S. naval base.
Detention of the prisoners,
especially the youngsters, has drawn major criticism from human rights
groups and governments who have urged the United States to file charges
against the detainees or release them.
The Pentagon (news -
web sites) did not say where the three juveniles were flown, but one
U.S. official told Reuters the youngsters were returned to Afghanistan
(news - web sites) -- where they were arrested more than a year ago --
to be set free.
"With the assistance of non-governmental
organizations, the juveniles will be resettled in their home country.
It is our goal to return them to an environment where they have an
opportunity to re-integrate into civil society," the Defense Department
said in a statement.

...“Kharittat Al Tariq” (Road Map) is the name of the song which gives voice to widespread views in the Egyptian street regarding the 11 September events and the US-Iraq standoff. The song talks about the road map and includes quotes from US President George W. Bush about the plan’s implementation. The song goes on to describe how America is the spitting image of Israel and it carries out its desires making the world into a “jungle.”
But it does not stop at that point, (Shaaban) Abdel Rahim goes on to boldly sing that the USA is the perpetrator of the 11 September attacks.
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- A lawyer for a widow suing the Bush administration for negligence in the 9-11 terrorist attacks asked a New Hampshire audience Wednesday to press presidential candidates on whether they will investigate the attacks.
About 100 Seacoast area residents turned out at South Church to listen to Ellen Mariani and her lawyer, Philip Berg.
There have always been 'third-rail' issues in American politics,
subjects that, if touched upon, will lead to certain political death. For a long
while, and until very recently, Social Security was one of these issues.
A new one, surrounding the attacks of September 11, has been born
in this political season. If September 11 is discussed, the only allowable
sub-topic to be broached is whether or not the Bush administration is capable of
keeping us safe from another onslaught.
Friday's edition of the Boston Globe had a case in point on the
front page. An article titled 'For Bush, Readiness is Key Issue' stated that,
"In speech after speech, President Bush has emphasized his administration's
pledge never to forget the lessons of Sept. 11. He says the top goal of his
administration is to prevent another attack." The Globe article contained, in
the next paragraph, the standardized rejoinder: "And while Democratic opponents
of the administration are unanimous in their hope that that vulnerability is not
exposed with deadly results, they have also argued that Bush has done far too
little to protect the country from another attack. He has refused to adequately
reimburse state and local officials for homeland security costs, they argue, and
has ignored dangerous gaps in air cargo and port security."
Thus, the 'preparedness-gap' becomes the whittled-down talking
point du jour. This is a whiff of colossal proportions, the implications of
which will echo down the halls of history unless someone develops enough spine
to speak the truth into a large microphone. The talking point is not difficult
to manage. It was splashed in gaudy multi-point font across the front page of
the New York Post in May of 2002.

The NYC Truth Movement permanently, and completely, took back Ground Zero from the Neo-Conservative false-patriotic agenda. In true New York fashion, 911 Truth activists unveiled the now legendary banner, which read, “THE BUSH REGIME ENGINEERED 9-11” in front of the World Trade Center footprint.
At least 20 women over the age of 40, of all ethnic backgrounds said, “god bless you for being here”. Dozens of photos were taken by New Yorkers and tourists from all over the world (oddly enough, including tourists from Saudi Arabia), and people were dying to get our information. 90% of the people were open to hear what we had to say, 9% were not, and less than 1% were very frightened of us so they did what any frightened animal does, bark as loud as they can.

Benamar Benatta has obtained a lawyer, an offer of shelter and even a job. Now, if a federal judge agrees to lower or waive his $25,000 bail next week, he could step out of his prison cell for the first time in 27 months.
Benatta is one of the last lost men of 9-11. Jailed on the day of the attacks in 2001, the Algerian Air Force lieutenant has spent more than two years in federal prisons -- much of that time in solitary confinement -- even though the FBI formally concluded in November 2001 that he had no connection to terrorism.

David Reinhard paints Howard Dean's mention of the possibility the Bush administration had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks as ludicrous, lumping it in with black-helicopter conspiracy theories (Dec. 18).
Yet according to published mainstream news accounts collected at www.cooperativeresearch.org, no fewer than 12 nations warned the United States through various intelligence channels that an attack was imminent, that it would involve suicide pilots and that it would target prominent landmarks.
The countries warning us included Egypt, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Russia, France and Israel. Some warnings were very specific. Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, reportedly sent an emissary to Washington, D.C., on Aug. 23, 2001, with a list of 19 names, four of whom have been confirmed the match the names of hijackers.
To date, there is scant public evidence that the Kean Commission, charged with investigating 9/11, has traced or will trace at what level these warnings were received.

The Southern
Solstice has passed, and with it the deadline for 9/11 families to file their
claims with the "Feinberg Fund," as it has come to be known. Of an
official death toll of 2976, claims have been filed by for 2,851. The claim
involves signing off on any future litigation against the government, the airlines,
the airports or any security firms.
One hundred
and twenty-five claims remain outstanding, but little has been written about
any of these families. Where is the coverage of those insisting on finding out
what really happened on that day before they sign away their "claims?"
First to
stand up were five widows: Kristen Breitweiser, Patty Casazza, Mindy Kleinberg
and Lorie van Auken. Breitweiser’s husband was killed in his office at
Fiduciary Trust on the 94th floor of the South Tower, while Casazza, Kleinberg
and van Auken are Cantor-Fitzgerald widows. They began lobbying for answers
early in 2002, navigating the labyrinth of American bureaucracy and hammering
the bureaucrats for direct answers to direct questions. In September 2002, Breitweiser
testified at the first televised public hearing before the Joint Intelligence
Committee Inquiry (JICI) in DC.

NEW YORK -- Minutes after hijackers slammed into the World Trade Center, police alerted airport control towers that they considered it "a criminal act," according to newly released Port Authority transcripts.
The agency on Monday released the final set of transcripts from emergency communications during the Sept. 11 terror attack. The disclosure comes four months after the Port Authority released 2,000 pages of documents detailing what was said in thousands of other emergency calls that day.
In the newly disclosed transcripts, a caller from the Port Authority police desk tells Chris McCary, a La Guardia Airport control tower employee, that "they are considering it a criminal act."
"We believe that, and we are holding all aircraft on the ground," McCary answers. The exchange, reported at 9:10 a.m., came seven minutes after the second plane struck the twin towers.

Another says an American missile fired by the U.S. military struck the Pentagon, not a hijacked jetliner. Yet another hypothesis says the Israelis orchestrated the attacks to force the United States into a war against the Arabs.
More than two years after terrorists hijacked four airliners and killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, conspiracy theories abound about what happened on Sept. 11, 2001.
A 9/11 widow recently filed a lawsuit accusing President Bush of allowing the attacks to gather support for the war on terrorism.

Thirty-second spots poured in by the hundreds in e-mail attachments to MoveOn.org, which has already shown that the Internet can be a battering ram for political activism by organizing protests against the invasion of Iraq. Last week, the group posted 1,017 of the amateur commercials on a Web site (www.bushin30seconds.org), asking viewers to pick their favorites.

Bush knew?
Former Vermont Gov. and current presidential candidate Howard Dean is just the latest Democratic critic of President Bush to suggest that he had foreknowledge of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Off and on for over the last two years, Democrats have flirting with the allegation ever since then Rep. Cynthia McKinney of North Carolina blurted it out during an April 2002 interview on a Berkely, Calif., radio station.
"We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on Sept. 11," declared the fiery Ms. McKinney, who was subsequently defeated for re-election by a Democratic primary opponent. "What did this administration know and and when did they know it?...Who else knew and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered?"

One of the most bizarre angles in the "official story" of Sep11th, is the mysterious
prior knowledge by the FBI of the whereabouts of the former "20th and 21st hijackers". This was not Moussaoui or someone else.
On the morning of Sep11th, according to newspaper records, one of many planes were grounded in St.Louis, home of Boeing:
Flight AA43.
The FBI checked the passengers. Among them: Ayub Ali Khan aka Gul Mohammed Shah, 51, and Mohammed Jaweed Azmath, two Indians.
After doublechecking various reports, we have to assume, that the FBI followed both people.
One day later, on September 12th, Ali Khan and Azmath got "arrested on an Amtrak train to Texas from St. Louis", as "hijacker 20 and 21".
The name of the FBI agents, who were in charge of that operation, remained unknown.
FBI spokesman James Margolin, FBI Special Agent Lori Bailey and Mindy Tucker, former Justice Department spokeswoman (now Republican National Committee) confirmed the arrestment.
The NY Times revealed, that the train was stopped nearby Fort Worth, home of a Naval Air Station and Lockheed Martin Corp.
Was it in reality a military operation?

"Unequivocally, 9/11 is a U.S.-intelligence sponsored toy," said Michel Chossudovsky, economics professor at the University of Ottawa and editor of the Center for Research on Globalization.
Monday's event was organized by Cinema Politica. It presented three short films in addition to its main presentation, all made by Guerrilla News Network (GNN), an independent alternative news organization and video design boutique.
Stephen Marshall, director of Aftermath, was the second panelist. Marshall is also the director of GNN and the creator of Channel Zero.
