Specifically, Enron submitted a bid in cooperation with the bin Laden Group for the construction of the Shuaiba power plant in Saudi Arabia.

The Enron-bin Laden connection is very disturbing because, as TheDailyEnron.com noted, over 50 people in George W. Bush's presidential administration have had "meaningful ties" to Enron. General Electric, owner of NBC News and an avid Bush supporter, has also had business dealings with the Saudi bin Laden Group. Both GE and the bin Laden Group worked together to build Riyadh Power Plant Project 9 in Saudi Arabia. Jack Welch, the very man who was CEO of GE, pressurred NBC News, the company that GE owned, into declaring very early on that George W. Two companies that helped install George W. Bush in the White House--Enron and General Electric--have been tied to the Saudi bin Laden Group, and the bin Laden Group has been tied financially to Osama bin Laden. In a May 31, 2002 press release, Attorney John Loftus says that senior U.S. Government officials, including Vice President Dick Cheney, blocked investigations into the Taliban because Enron Corporation was negotiating with the Taliban to build an oil and gas pipeline through Afghanistan.
