Since September 2001, Timothy McNiven tried to promote his own story from 1976 Now McVivens website is finally up at Codenamegrillfire.com
As some cover letters proved on his website, McNiven contacted already Canada's Minister of National Defense, Carolyn Parrish, MP and former Vice Chair to the Executive of NATO; Daniel Ellsberg of the "Pentagon Papers", Stephen Schwartz, Publisher of The "Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists", Cynthia McKinney and Michel Chossudovsky from the Centre on Globalisation McNiven tried to undermine his claim with a polygraph exam. He wasn't able to contact other participants of the 1976 study.
Some months ago, GlobalFreePress denied to release his submission. In a new email to GlobalFreePress, McNiven told us, that his website "also has information about (his) two year effort to get this information into the media". His website shows, that McNiven is honestly willing to promote his story worldwide. While describing the 1976 study, McNiven mentioned a Lt. Michael Teague. He could be an important witness for his story. McNiven insisted, that he didn't start telling his story on Sep11th. He lists various names of friends, who know about his story since the 80s. Furthermore, McNiven wrote: "...I have more information that I will be putting up as the webmaster has time but for now this is the most important information I have, since my web site has been up. A private investigator has agreed to help me locate members from my unit who took part, on a "as she has time to do it basis" for free, so I have gotten some positive responce even though I did get called a "Confederate Skinhead from Georgia" by one person, why(?) I don't know..." McNiven's website was registered at the end of May 2003 by Michael Snudden of Raventec.com in Lynden, WA. Following is the claim of McNiven. Though his story was often described as "bogus" or "disinformation", it should be stressed out, that he never added any strong political spin into it. Is McNiven's story really a hoax?:
