A quantum leap took place this September 11^th at the Riverside Church in Harlem where a film exhibit and speaking panel kicked off a weekend long event entitled Reframing 9-11, sponsored by WBAI 99.5 fm, 911 Citizenswatch, and the WBAI program Ain't That Good News.

Close to one thousand people came to hear an all star speaking panel that included Cynthia McKinney, Mike Ruppert, Ray McGovern, John Judge, and Dr. Faiz Khan. Also joining the event was David MacMichael and Danny Schechter. The event questioned the official story of what happened on September 11^th, 2001, a story that has now been proven to be full of lies and distortions.

Vice President Dick Cheney made an appearance at the Riverside Church for a Port Authority event in the daytime. Police and Secret Service were everywhere as we came to setup. One of our organizers had a police officer confront him and say the following . . .
"If you think that you're having an event this evening, perhaps you better call the church and see if it's still happening" he went on to say "no one is getting in the church (this way), and that's final".

In retrospect the event was a smash success that educated close to a thousand people. "The wind is definitely blowing in our direction," said Mike Ruppert, Editor of FTW publications www.fromthewilderness.com. There's no denying that now.

Cynthia McKinney and Mike Ruppert were just in from the high-powered 911 Skeptics events in Berlin from September 5^th through the 7^th. They hit New York with exactly what we needed, revitalization! The 911 Skeptics movement is gaining ground here, and the packed house at the historic Riverside Church was firm proof of this fact.

Similar events took place in San Francisco, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Peoria IL, Durham NH, Huntington NY, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal, Berlin and more cities. Most of these cities screened movies that questioned the official story of what happened on 9-11. In Toronto, over 5,000 people came to see the Guerrilla News documentary Aftermath!

The night opened with a multi-denominational prayer lead by Reverend Fitzgerald and Dr. Faiz Kahn. The first film shown was September 10^th, 2001 - Uno Nunca Muere la Vispera, by Monika Bravo. This heart-wrenching piece was filmed from the World Trade Center on the evening of September 10^th, 2001. It captured a storm that happened over the Hudson that day into the evening. Michael Richards was an artist who died in the WTC on 911. Both Michael and Monika were in the World Views LMCC artist residency program. To explain this piece in words is not possible, it must be experienced. An artist fund has been created in Michael Richard's name, and any sales of Monika Bravo's September 10^th piece, contribute to it.

Following this was a film put forth by The Coalition of 9-11 Families. Kyle Hence, the event's moderator and co-founder of 911 Citizenswatch, began to introduce the film when a family member supporting the coalition approached the podium with watery eyes.

She explained that the coalition's position was to have the area where the most remains were found at ground zero declared sacred. The coalition is not opposed to economic revitalization of the area, rather they want a proper memorial to be of paramount concern. Governor Pataki had promised just that to the families, but has recently been quoted as saying it is time for the victims family members to �move on�. The coalition has described the government's dealings with them as "deceptive".

Next up was the now legendary statement of Mindy Kleinberg to the "Indepednant" 911 Commission. Mindy lost her husband in the WTC mass murder. She addressed many mind-numbing unanswered questions in her statement. C-Span has never aired this brave woman�s bold words.

Mindy's brilliance was the perfect set up for Barry Zwicker's documentary The Great Deception. Barry is a seasoned media critic from Canada's Vision TV. In this series of media commentaries, Barry rips apart the mainstream media and it's despicable coverage surrounding 911. The panel then came up to speak.

David MacMichael, founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, was there to introduce former CIA analyst Ray McGovern. When he took the podium, McGovern effectively said the Bush administration's "best case scenario" would be to prove it was atrociously incompetent on September 11th, 2001. This provoked laughter from a crowd who seemed to understand McGovern was going out of his way to give the administration the benefit of the doubt.

Dr. Faiz Kahn gave a spiritually moving speech. He spoke of fellow Muslims around the world who are shocked when he tells them of events such as these. They have no idea that there are Americans who vocally oppose what the Bush administration is doing in their (our) names. Dr. Kahn said that we are the "Real Americans".

John Judge, co-founder of 911 Citizenswatch gave an explosive speech that included the joke "�if Dick Cheney died of a heart attack, Bush might actually become president" . John struck a chord with the crowd and kept it going for the entire night.

Danny Schechter, whose film The Making and Meaning of We Are Family was shown later in the evening, gave an explosive speech completely indicting the mainstream media. When Danny noted that there were still some real journalists left out there like Amy Goodman, who was sitting in the front row, the crowd exploded! Amy is the venerable host of Pacifica radio's weekday morning radio broadcast Democracy Now.

Mike Ruppert took to the podium and said "everyone knows that I�m the Pit Bull when it comes to 9-11". He immediately stated the government had full knowledge prior to the tragic mass murders all the way up to probable complicity. His words and dynamic presence resonated with a healthy dose of skepticism for the crowd. Then came the only applause of the night that were more explosive than those received by Amy Goodman . . .

. . . Ruppert introduced Cynthia McKinney as the former, "and next Congresswoman from Georgia". This moved the crowd to its feet with ear piercing screams. Amy Goodman was immediately on her cell phone, likely tipping someone off about the story. This was the first time it was publicly announced that McKinney would be throwing her hat into the race for 2004.

Cynthia was in triumphant form as usual. Powerful with her words, praising the work of Mike Ruppert and John Judge, I will repeat what I often say about Cynthia . . .

- THANK GOD(dess) FOR CYNTHIA!

After everyone had their opening statements, the panel fielded questions that had been taken from the crowd on index cards. I have never in my life seen such provocative questions tackled head on by an expert panel of this caliber. The first question was about chemical & biological weapons and potential depopulation plans.

Mike Ruppert jumped out on this first with the most important issue of all, peak oil.

He explained that the GDP has historically been linked to greenhouse gas emissions � the more economic growth we have, the more oil we�re burning. Now that peak oil has been confirmed by the worlds leading experts to either be here now or a few years away, how can the GDP continue unending growth without unending energy?
It can't.

On top of that, natural gas reserves are critically low in North America. We should all pray that we don�t have a cold winter. Oil makes all plastics, most fertilizers, powers tractors that harvest crops, transports food long distances, and is the backbone of our entire economy. The food supply will suffer massively as oil depletes, and people will die.

In this context of looming crisis from the declining reserves of hydrocarbon energy in the world, we must consider the fact that mass depopulation may be on the table. In his best German accent, Mike said he could imagine Henry Kissinger behind closed doors saying "it is not that we don't have enough oil, it is merely that we have too many people".

Cynthia McKinney pointed to the government's past crimes against its own citizens, referencing the Tuskegee experiments. These experiments were done on unwitting black men who thought they were being treated, not experimented on. She reiterated Ruppert's point that depopulation may very well be on the table.

Dr. Faiz Kahn addressed the issue with another historical precedent. He reminded us that blankets of small pox victims were given to Native Americans by European Settlers purposefully to kill them. He noted there were official agreements and treaties between both parties when this was done, just as we have agreements with our government today - such as our constitution, which is currently being dismantled. He too felt depopulation is a scenario that cannot be ruled out, and that we must all pay very close attention to that possibility.

John Judge reconfirmed all of the panelists skepticism by recounting what happened in the case of the Anthrax attacks shortly after 911. The Anthrax used could only have come from U.S. government labs, and was only sent to Republican opposition such as Senate Democrats Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy. He went much further to connect the dots and gave a current, real world context to the question.

Q & A continued for over an hour. We then screened Danny Schechter's film We Are Family for one of the only upbeat movies of the exhibit. We then moved on to the premiere presentation, Aftermath. Anthony Lappe, Executive Editor of www.gnn.tv introduced the movie by speaking of the multiple screenings happening around the world. It was a pleasure to have him attend the event.

Just as the movie began I had the privilege of meeting Amy Goodman. I thanked her for coming. She was about to leave and asked to get a copy of the movie about to be shown and I directed her to the table where they were being sold. Joe Friendly, the �Evolutionary Cameraman who documented Mindy Kleinberg's statement to the "Independent" 911 Commission, gave her a free copy.

This event was a grand step in the right direction to bring together 911 Skeptics and the Peace Movement. Guerilla News Network, www.gnn.tv, has been making a valiant effort to do just that for almost 2 years now. The two movements must strengthen this union to crush plans of creeping global fascism.

The night closed with Missy Galore   -   who was responsible for setting up the first screening of Aftermath in downtown New York on the first commemoration of 911 at Walker Stage. She offered blessings and kind words reminding everyone of the International Day of Peace coming up on September 21^st.

Commenting on the 911 Skeptics gathering in Berlin, Mike Ruppert said "They get it in Berlin. They remember Hitler!" If history repeated itself, would we notice? Well it appears as a people, we are finally starting to notice everything is terribly wrong.

Guerrillas of the Week

When we first started the Guerrilla News Network, this is what we always dreamed it could be - a real network of media revolutionaries using our content to shake things up. Last Thursday, aka the second anniversary of 9/11, scores of Guerrillas across North America organized simultaneous screenings of GNN’s "AfterMath: Unanswered Questions from 9/11" documentary. In all, there were AfterMath screenings in 12 cities (that we know of) in which thousands of people watched and discussed the issues raised by the controversial doc.  

Some events were huge, complete with panels of experts and audience Q & A sessions that lasted late into the night, others were smaller more intimate community events. The night was a major success. And we owe it all to this week's Guerrillas, the organizers of the screenings. GNN had little to no involvement in any of the 9/11 events - these were truly grassroots efforts.

In New York, Kyle Hence and his 9/11 Citizen’s Watch hosted a marathon four-hour, info-packed evening for an estimated audience of 1,000 at the historic Riverside Church featuring Mike Ruppert, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, former CIA official Ray McGovern, Danny “The News Dissector” Schechter, and 9/11 researcher John Judge. In Vancouver, GNNer SPK reports the event he helped organize packed 270 people into the Croatian Cultural Centre. The screening included a stellar panel of experts, including Mike Rodenburgh from the polling firm Pollara. Rodenburgh shared the results of recent poll about Canadian’s attitudes towards the War on Terror he commissioned specifically to share with the night’s audience. Matt Price, an activist and author of "America's Gas Tank: The High Cost of Canada's Oil and Gas Export Strategy" talked about Canada’s oil, and the implications of the NAFTA on its supply to the U.S. The event raised $400 for Projections, a non-profit that connects inner-city kids to professionals in the television and film business.

SPK summarized, “As a seasoned promoter of everything from rock concerts to golf tournaments to raves, never have I been involved in an event that came off without a hitch - until this past Thursday. Sure there were some dicey moments, like when the sound company decided to double our bill at the last minute, or when the venue manager demanded all the money for the space by 6PM or they wouldn't open the doors, but we pulled it off. It is a testament to the fine work of our whole volunteer crew that Vancouver's Aftermath screening was lauded universally.”

GNN Commandate Stalwart organized a similarly successful event in Toronto, packing the sold-out Bloor Cinema with 800 people. Stalwart writes, “Any time I ever feel discouraged about the movement in the future, I will look back upon last night and remember all the people hungry for knowledge that the mainstream media just isn't giving them.”

Organizer Mitchell Szczepanczyk tell us 250 people turned out for a screening hosted by Chicago Media Action in the windy city.   

In GNN’s hometown Oakland, around more than 200 East Bayers filled the funky Parkway Theater.

In beautiful Roberts Creek, British Columbia, organizer David Barbarash reports that the small screening he organized inspired his neighbors to hold more alternative media events. The night “ignite[ed] the space into becoming a regular spot for alternative and radical video screenings, which everyone involved is now totally excited about.”

Big props to everyone who donated their time and effort to organizing an incredible night of info and inspiration. And thanks to all who came out.

“Impeach the Terrorists!” Review of Events in San Francisco 9/6- 9/11

While the number of 9-11 skeptics continues to grow worldwide, in the Bay Area, efforts to draw attention to the failures in the official narrative and to reveal the truth about 9-11 have become more diffuse than concentrated. Small events, screenings, forums continue to abound over a wide geographic area, a strong, concentrated alliance of committed activists has yet to emerge. Last year the All People’s Coalition organized rallies and marches under the theme “Bush Did It!” and a large, lively contingent of people, complete with the incomparable Brass Liberation Orchestra marched from the Panhandle down Haight Street to the 9-11 Power to the Peaceful Concert in Golden Gate Park. This year’s “Impeach the Terrorists!” marches and rallies drew fewer people and almost no organizational support- except for the 9-11 Truth Alliance, and the Center for Democratic Change.

On September 6th, at the monument dedicated to President McKinley (and budding U.S. Imperialism in 1903, just over one hundred years ago), the statue of an enormous woman wielding a leaf and a sword was the backdrop to the Deception Dollar banner, emblazoned with the new graffiti “Impeach the Terrorists!” About thirty people, many mothers with babies and small children gathered, and in a very friendly, cooperative manner, figured out the logistics of their two mile march, up Baker Street, to Haight Street, and across Golden Gate Park. Loudly they chanted “Hey ho, hey, ho, the Bush Regime has got to go!” “Whose the biggest terrorists in the world today? Bush, Cheney and the C.I.A.” “Impeach the Terrorists, Impeach Bush!” passing out flyers and Deception Dollars to the supportive observers along the way. At the 5th annual 9-11 Power to the Peaceful Free Concert and Social Justice Rally, over 30,000 people attended and the 9-11 activists passed out thousands of flyers, the 9-11 table was very popular and the issues championed were finally echoed by the main speakers on stage.

On September 11, 2003, the first of the million Deception Dollar Issue #6 were picked up from the printer, to be distributed at the rally at the Federal Building, about fifty people came (unfortunately the sound system didn’t quite make it), there were lots of conversations, but speeches were mercifully short within the limits of blowhorns; there were lots of signs, and enough energy to turn the rally into a march, and carry the message through the streets, to the public, and elected officials at Senator Feinstein’s office. The Deception Dollars were especially popular with the employees at the Federal Building and unsolicited handfuls of money were offered to those passing out the bills. The “unpermitted march” took a lane on Turk Street before a policewoman persuaded us to opt for the sidewalks, which actually probably was safer. The police presence was greatest at Feinstein’s building, where we couldn’t even go inside, a staff member met with us on the sidewalk and gave us a couple of press releases which reflected Feinstein’s “public positions.” We passed on to her our statements, as well as a sample of the petitions for impeachment we have been collecting, and the open letter to the U.S. embassy in Berlin, to the members of the U.S. government, to the German Chancellery and to officers of the Ruropean Union that came out of the “Unanswered Questions – Demanding Answers” conference held in Berlin, September 7, 2003.

I have marched on Feinstein’s office on many occasions and have never held great hopes that she would ever come around to sharing my points of view. She did sign on to a bill on September 9th requiring the White House to submit a detailed report to Congress on the situation in Iraq within 60 days. While that was, perhaps, a move in a better direction ( though frankly given a choice between national facism or transnational facism, I would choose neither), her speech on 9-11 was infuriating to me. She praised the PATRIOT Act (we have passed local resolutions to repeal it). She went along with the official “narrative,” the myth about the 19 hijackers, and went on to push for new legislation in the areas of bioterrorism, border security, visa entry provisions, port security, echoing the “terrorist threat” to justify ever greater powers to the state and push for the creation of a Director of National Intelligence. She also said,

“I am pleased that the joint inquiry report included the creation of a Director of National Intelligence as one of its recommendations. I am also pleased that Senator Graham of Florida has made this one of the provisions in his bill implementing the report’s major recommendations.”

Here is the letter I wrote for Senator Feinstein-

Senator Feinstein,

In January 2002, I led a delegation to march on your office, to meet with your staff, and to demand an investigation of 9-11. We raised a number of questions, and I presented your staff with several inches of articles, highlighting reasons for our concerns about the events of that day. Your staff said that you had the same information that I had, but a different worldview, and that you believed in Bush.

I do not believe in Bush or in his policies, and it has been apparent to the world for some time that he has been lying on a number of occasions to serve his own interests, and the interests of transnational corporations, at the expense of the vast majority of people and planet in Afghanistan, Iraq, Colombia, Venezuela, the United States and many other countries throughout the world.

In the wake of our meeting with you, Bush and Cheney asked Daschle to limit the investigation of 9-11 to basically- why the C.I.A. failed, and how the C.I.A. could justify an increase in their budget to prevent future terrorist attacks. Adding insult to injury the investigation was to be overseen by Ex-CIA Snider, so that Congress could concentrate on the “War on Terrorism.” What the heads of both the House and Senate Intelligence Committtee, managed to avoid investigating was why they were meeting with the “money man behind 9-11” (Head of Pakistani Intelligence, Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad- who sent $100,000 to Mohammed Atta, whom the F.B.I. identified as the lead terrorist in the attack on the World Trade Center) on the very morning of the attack.

Nor has the appointment of Henry Kissinger and now, Thomas Kean, assured anyone that an investigation dedicated to finding the truth would ever officially occur. Both Kissinger and Kean have financial conflicts of interest and should be investigated for their own roles in 9-11. Our People’s Investigation of 9-11 has led me to believe, along with a growing number of other concerned people that 9-11 was an “inside job,” carried out with the cooperation and assistance from the highest levels of the U.S. government, an act of treason, as well as a crime against humanity, in order to further the agenda of a tiny elite who aim to control the oil and drug resources of Afghanistan and Iraq, and terrorize the country, and world into going along with their agenda.

I sincerely believe that the best hope for the country and the world is to expose this crime and hold those responsible accountable. On the streets of San Francisco, the message I am seeing is- “Impeach Bush,” “Restore Democracy.” The theme of our rally at the Federal Building today was “Impeach the Terrorists!” Not only was 9-11 a special operation, but it was a sloppy one; critical examination of the evidence will persuade most people and a court of law that the real terrorists are occupying the White House and it is our responsibility, as citizens, to rein them in before they commit even worse crimes.

I hope you will bring this to the attention of the Senate.

That evening, the documentary by GNN- Aftermath- Unanswered Questions from 9-11 was shown at the Parkway Theatre to a full house (175 people), followed by a public dialogue with Guerrilla News Network producer, Ian Inaba, journalist Joyce Lynn, and myself. Offhand, I would say that all of the audience was convinced that the U.S. orchestrated or allowed 9-11 to happen to further White House interests. There was also a showing of Michael Ruppert’s The Truth and Lies About 9-11 and another event at the Humanist Hall with a large number of speakers. We arrived at the Humanist Hall late; it was packed. Jim Hoffman was presenting visual evidence that explosives were used to bring down the World Trade Center. The presentations were short, powerful, and provocative. Of particular interest to me was a video presentation, message from scientist A. K. Dewdney, who had done extensive research on cell phone calls and concluded that the alleged cell phone calls were bogus/faked/impossible and proposed an entirely new thesis to explain what actually happened on 9-11 which he called “Operation Pearl” ( http://www.physics911.org/911/index.php/articles/2). I had read his work and was impressed by it, but it’s good to see and hear the voice behind the text which appears on a computer screen- to better evaluate the information. With so many speakers and questions and answers, the event lasted until past eleven and the conversations continued beyond midnight.

Most other 9-11 events- in New Hampshire, Toronto, New York, Germany, reported full houses, tremendous public interest, and there were a smattering of breakthroughs into the alternative and mainstream press. I continue to believe that 9-11 is the Achilles Heel of the Global Elite and that exposing it could bust the “War Game” once and for all, helping us to shift human energies from killing and controlling people and planet to nurturing healthy relationships between all life. I believe “impeachment” the most peaceful, hopeful solution to the criminal regime seeking global dominance at the moment.

9/11 Second-Anniversary Events in Germany and New York City Reveal Growing Strength, Credibility of Movement

Sept 17 , 2003 1400 PDT (FTW), BERLIN, NEW YORK CITY--

Events marking the second anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks held in Berlin, Germany and Manhattan featuring former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, this writer, and more than a dozen experts highlighted an estimated fifty conferences, screenings and protests around the US and the world, revealing growing popular support for the position that the US government was complicit in those attacks. In a few short words I will try to describe some of the biggest recent developments in a climate that has changed dramatically since disclosure that the US and British governments falsified and misrepresented intelligence to justify a now-failing occupation of Iraq. Those frauds, constituting impeachable offenses offered as a justification for war, have solidly returned 9/11 to the table for debate. Unresolved questions about the attacks are now also drawing attention from the major media and they will most certainly become an issue in the 2004 presidential race. As this opportunity presented itself, a great many courageous people---active for two, long years---were there to seize the moment and they did so powerfully, with an effectiveness made possible by two years of sometimes bitter experience and struggle.

It is difficult to sit and write a comprehensive story in the few hours I have since my return from New York before I board another plane for Seattle and the production of a new CD covering the extraordinary developments of the last year. But I have acquired a new and important perspective since leaving for Berlin on September 3.

If I leave out a few names or neglect to give credit where credit is due, it is not for any other reason than the fact that there are so many who deserve credit, in so many places, that neither my pen nor my tape recorder can capture them all. Yet it is critical to note that many of these events, especially the ones in Berlin, happened only as a result of the opened pockets of private individuals and the tireless labor of unpaid volunteers. One German, Mr. Ronald Toden, was responsible for the airfare that brought McKinney, American journalist Daniel Hopsicker, British author Nafeez Ahmed and me to that historic city. He paid for our hotel rooms, the rental of the halls and equipment, and the forum that made Germany and the world listen. He stands as a shining representative of all the people who have, in virtual anonymity, voted with their money to keep freedom and dissent alive. In New York, the sponsorship of radio station WBAI was augmented by organization from Unanswered Questions and 911 Citizen'sWatch along with the efforts of dozens of volunteers to effectively demonstrate that a sizeable segment of the American population are, in spite of media claims to the contrary, willing to aggressively fight to make 9/11 an issue for as long as is necessary to prove and address the crime. For it is September 11, 2001 that has been the singular defining moment of the 21st century.
